Karagümrük Stadium is named after Karagümrük İdman Yurdu which is founded in the spring of 1926, in Fatih district of İstanbul province. The Karagumruk Stadium should be such a structure that it should become a city stadium that will carry the sport to the future and offer a solution to the Karagümrük problems and take the form of a new city image that respects its history.
With all this in mind, in the design process; In order to integrate the historical wall surrounding the project area with the project concept and, more importantly, to make the historical depth, which is one of the priority features of the area, to be visible, it is aimed to update the existing land elevations and establish a maximum relationship with the wall. Together with this project, the project and its surroundings have become a social center.
