Freiburg Stadium

Stadiums within the cities are overwhelming and dominant buildings. When we examined Freiburg’s social environment, we decided that the design had to be in harmony with the city.

Solid facade approach for such huge buildings cuts the continuty of existing environment. Transparent facade solutionsand natural elements like trees  located in the building seems essential toprovide continuty

The existing traffic system around the stadium provides sufficient capacities for an estimated 2,000 pedestrians. On the stadium grounds themselves, almost all visitors become “pedestrians” as on their way from the tramway stop or from the parking places to the stadium.
